 I think the confusing part,at least for me, is that the state riding areas open April 1st to Dec 1st.
State areas are Perry (Somerset) and several others.
Somerset is a blast, might be worth checking out if you haven't been there.

Wayne because its federal does its own thing.

  Wayne is closed to motor vehicles. I THINK you can hike the trails, am not positive. Check the rules here:     http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/wayne/recreation_sites/orv.html

We took a walk the other day onto Dorr run, doesn't look like they've done anything to the trails.  Downed trees all over the place, you know, the usual maintenance.

If you buy a pass to ride the Allegheny National Forest trails is it good for the Wayne NF trails too? Or was I just dreaming that?
